HOLIDAY OBSERVANCES AND PROCEDURES
The holidays Advance Disposal Company Inc. observes are:
• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day
• 4th of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
If a holiday falls during the week, your trash pick up will be behind one day for that week, starting the day of the holiday. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, residential service will not be affected. However, some commercial services may be affected if their scheduled pick up is on Sunday.
County customers -The County Refuse Ordinance does not allow sharing of residential curbside service. County residential refuse is limited to 3 cans of refuse, Advance Disposal Company, Inc. considers 3 bags of refuse to equal 1 can.
Commercial bin service -customers may call during business hours for special, non-scheduled pick ups of refuse at customer’s expense. Fees vary, same day fee & different day fee. Bins must not be placed for pick up in an area hazardous to the public or driver, such as sidewalks, streets and un-level ground. To view a video of our processing, please visit the following link:

RESIDENTIAL SERVICE REGULATIONS
In order to better serve our customers, we ask that the following rules and regulations set forth by City and County Ordinances be observed:
1) All containers and refuse must be placed curbside by 6 A.M. Standard Time and 5 A.M. Day Light Savings Time on pick up day.
2) All refuse containers should not exceed its limitation. Containers must have tight fitting lids and be equipped with external handles. No cut down drums without external handles.
3) No container to weigh over 55 pounds.
4) Containers must be in good repair - no sharp edges or bad bottoms.
5) Ashes must be cold and should be isolated from regular household rubbish.
6) All limbs and brush are to be tied in bundles not over four-foot in length and no more than 18 inches in diameter.
7) No large and heavy objects. Tree stumps, concrete, construction material, dirt and rocks will not be picked up on curbside residential service.
8) Plastic bags should not weight over the limitation of the bags.
9) Small cardboard boxes containing refuse will be picked up if the driver can safely handle them. Empty boxes must be flattened and tied no larger than four-feet in length and no more than 18 inches in diameter.
10) Christmas trees should be cut into 3-foot lengths.
11) Hazardous waste will not be picked up. (Motor oil, paint, thinners, insecticides, swimming pool chemicals and other chemicals.)
Because of animals and harsh weather conditions, Advance Disposal Company, Inc. will not be responsible for scattered trash or lost lids and cans.
COMMERCIAL "BIN" SERVICE REGULATIONS
ALL BINS - WASTE-WHEELER, 1.5, 2, 3 AND 30 YARD BINS
In order to better serve our customers, we ask that the following rules and regulations set forth by City and County Ordinances be observed:
1) All refuse in bins must not exceed the top of the bin; lids must be closed for safe pick up.
2) Bins must be accessible for pick up by 5 a.m. on pick up day.
3) Large items must be broken down.
4) Refuse in bins must not be compacted by machine or human.
5) Bins must be cleared of obstacles 10 feet in all directions.
6) Drivers must have access to bins on pick up day. Bins blocked by vehicles, locked gates
or not accessible, will be scheduled for pick up by the customer at the customer’s expense (special pick up fees apply).
7) Bins in residential areas must be on customer’s property, 10 feet from the curb, when not scheduled for pick up and accessible on the scheduled pick up day.
8) No tires, hazardous waste, motor oils, pool chemicals, paints or other chemicals in bins.
9) Enclosures must be free of refuse. Scattered refuse inside of enclosure is customer’s responsibility for clean up.
10) Dirt, concrete, asphalt must not exceed 18 inches from bottom of the bin.
