All new, revised and invalid ICD-9 Diagnosis Codes take effect for Dates of Service beginning October 1, 2006.
There is no longer a grace period. It is essential that all practices have a current ICD-9 book available. ICD-9 books may be purchased at several locations, including http://www.ingenixonline.com.
