Tune-up Check List

Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter Inspections will reduce chance of breakdowns, help prolong the life of your system and reduce electricity costs.

For the tune-up the technician will:

Air Conditioning Tune-Up (some items do not apply to all systems) Take temperature splits Inspect thermostat Check duct system for dirt and debris Check air handler and elbow for leaks Take motor amperage Inspect drain lines and pans Check condenser and evaporator coil Oil cond. And blower motor if applicable Inspect contactors and relays Take compressor amperages Check run caps for leaking and swelling Inspect wiring Check disconnect for overheating Inspect start device if present Take refrigerant pressures Check electrical connections

Heating Tune-Up (some items do not apply to all systems) Check temperature rise Inspect thermostat Oil fan motor if applicable Take motor amperages Test heat strips Check defrost board Inspect pilot light Check safety controls Inspect limit switches Check gas/air mixture Inspect burners Take gas valve amp draw Check heat anticipator Inspect electrical connections Test blower control Take refrigerant pressures

The technician will explain and document any needed repairs.
