In-Home Pet Sitting service, you receive visits to your home by trained pet care professionals who feed, water, and care for your pets with the same love and devotion you would provide. Your pets benefit by staying in their own familiar environment. No strange kennels or boarding facilities, no exposure to fleas and diseases, no trauma.
While our pet care professionals are in your home, we also water the plants, bring in the mail and newspapers, and rotate inside and outside lights. Your pets are cared for in their own environment, and your home looks occupied, which discourages burglars and vandals.

Critter Care Inc. is licensed, Insured and bonded for In-Home Pet Care. We have been in business since 1985 and are dedicated to personal friendly service. We come to your home as many times per day as you request. We guarantee a visit between 30-45 miinutes in length. Pet's will be walked if requested, played with and exercised. We will take care of your animals with the love they deserve.

Our Staff of sitters is comprised of around 40 sitters who live throughout the Tidewater and Hampton Roads area. We do this so that you will have a sitter who lives close to you. The sitters are all adults between the ages of their late twenties to sixty +. We have some retired sitters and couples. Most of our sitters are pet lovers and are not afraid of any particular breed. All have experience walking and handling large dogs and difficult cats. We also care for other domestic pets such as birds, hamsters, fish, rabbits, turtles and ferrets. Each year, our sitters are recertified in Pet First Aid through Red Cross, bonded and insured.
Most sitters have been sitting with CritterCare, Inc. for at least 5 years; some 10 years or more. Your sitter will schedule an interview with you to meet your pet(s), get your instructions, and pick up a key from you before your departure. You will have the same sitter for all visits. You are at liberty to try another sitter at any time and the company reserves the right to assign a different sitter for subsequent bookings if your regular sitter is unavailable. Each new sitter will come for an interview so that you will feel comfortable with the person taking care of your animals.

Job Opportunities
We offer job opportunities to qualified adults over the age of 21 in the Tidewater and Hampton Roads area. We service all cities on the Southside which includes Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and North Suffolk, and on the Peninsula which includes, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Yorktown up to the Coleman Bridge. Most sitters do pet sitting to supplement their regular income, not as a primary source of income. We do not hire seasonal sitters, as our clients come to depend on the reliability and availability of particular sitters. We try to keep the same sitters for our clients to build trust and continuity.
