The Easiest Method to Test for Peripheral Arterial Disease and Chronic Venous Insufficiency.
The PADnet+ eliminates the use of Doppler Ultrasound to obtain segmental blood pressures, the basis for the ABI (ankle brachial index) and TBI (toe brachial index) values. Many clinical experts believe the ABI is the single best screening test for cardiovascular disease, and the TBI is a replacement for the ABI for those patients whose ankle vessels are non-compressible.
PAD is currently under diagnosed and under treated because there has not been a testing device that is easy to use, or reproduces quality results every time. By combining segmental blood pressure measurements, bilateral PVR waveforms at multiple levels and venous refill time, PADnet+ supplies a more comprehensive test result than other physiologic test devices. In addition, connecting primary care physicians and vascular specialists via the PADnet+ web interface is better than existing methods, as it facilitates diagnosis and care coordination more effectively and efficiently.
