How do you deal with stress?
There is good stress that helps to motivate you to excel in your daily life, and there is bad stress that brings your energy level down and drains you. If you have too much of the latter, you could be working towards a burnout, a feeling that you can't take it anymore or that you've had it with a specific situation or person.
Negative stress can have many triggers, called stressors, and you may want to blame these stressors for the pressure you feel. However, the triggers only have the power you give them. You can use destressors such as stopping what you're thinking about or doing to count to ten, or slow down and take your mind off your stressful task.
What works best is to take five minutes time out from everyone and everything, and beginning with three deep breaths, start to visualize yourself in an ideallic, relaxing place such as in a meadow or at the beach by yourself, with all pressures removed, and take time to center and focus on the present moment.
Try this for one week.
