Types of Care

In the beginning, visits may be frequent.

Most patients start with Initial Intensive Care.  The first thing most new patients want is to feel better.  So, in the beginning, visits are usually frequent.  Your chiropractic adjustments may be combined with other procedures to help relieve your symptoms.  Depending upon your age, condition, and lifestyle, repeated visits over weeks or months may be needed to reduce your symptoms.

After the recover of your original problem, regular chiropractic "checkups" can help preserve your progress.  Periodic visits can catch little problems before they become major concerns.  Wellness-minded adults and their children choose this type of care to look and feel their best.  Like other preventative measures, a chiropractic lifestyle can save time and money by helping you stay well.

Information below provided by TALK BACK SYSTEMS, INC.

Sciatica

An all to common health complaint

The sciatica nerves are the largest (and longest) nerves of the body, reaching about the size of your thumb in diameter, and running down the back of each leg.  When these nerves are irritated or affected by the inflammation of nearby soft tissues, doctors refer to this as sciatica.

Lower Back

Chiropractic care is safer and often more effective than surgery.

Many of the pain-sensing nerves of the spine are in the facet joints, the two interlocking "fingers" at the back of each spinal bone.  The normally smooth surfaces on which these joints glide, can become rough, irritated, and inflamed.

Many factors can be responsible for low back pain.  Improper sitting or lifting, overexertion, trauma, or inherited spinal abnormalities may contribute to the cause.

Neck Pain

Reducing symptoms-correcting the cause

A popular response to neck pain is taking drugs to cover up the problem (aspirin, analgesics, pain pills) or treating its symptoms (muscle relaxers, massage, hot packs).

But neck pain isn't caused by a lack of aspirin or drugs!

The chiropractic approach to neck pain is to locate its underlying cause.  This begins with a complete case history and thorough examination.  Special attention is given to the structure and function of the spine, and its affect on the nervous system.

Disc Problems

The chiropractic approach to disc problems is to help restore better motion and position to the spinal joints.  Besides reducing disc bulging, better spinal function helps decrease inflammation so the slow process of healing can begin.

While results cannot be guaranteed, many patients have avoided needless surgery or a dependency on pain pills by choosing conservative chiropractic care.

Whiplash

Collisions that occur during sporting events, slips, falls or automobile crashes can all have a damaging effect on your neck and back.  These types of collision-related injuries are often called a "whiplash".

The resulting instability of the spine and soft tissues can contribute to headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, pain in the shoulders, arms and hands, reduced ability to turn and bend, and low back problems.  As the body attempts to adapt, symptoms may not appear until weeks or even months later.

The chiropractic approach to these types of injuries is to use specific chiropractic adjustments to help normalize spinal function.  After a thorough case history and examination, the doctor will recommend a series of visits to help restore proper motion and position of spinal bones.  If caught early enough, inflammation can be reduced and scar tissue can often be minimized.

Headaches

Stress, toxic fumes, certain foods, preservatives, and alcohol are common culprits.

A frequent and overlooked cause of headaches is the malfunction of spinal bones in the neck and upper back.

When bones of the spine lose their normal position or motion, sensitive nerves and blood vessels to the to the head can be affected.  When spinal nerves and related tissues are stretched or irritated that can produce throbbing headaches.  Aspirin and medications may cover up these warning signs, but do not correct the underlying structural cause.

Many people find relief and correcting with chiropractic care.
