After being cooped up in the house with the kids for the past few months, who wouldn't like a nice Spring Break getaway?
If the prospect of taking off an entire week and flying the family to Florida or the islands is just too much, here are two ideas for great family getaways within a couple of hours drive of Baltimore or DC.
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Cambridge, MD

Rated as one of the top 75 resorts in the US by Conde Nast Traveler, this wonderful resort sits on the banks of the Choptank River in the heart of Maryland's scenic Eastern Shore. Families can enjoy a host of activities including nature walks around the property, swimming in the expansive indoor pool, ping pong and shuffle board in the game room, billiards in the library and every night the staff lights the huge outdoor fireplace and provides sticks for making the perfect s'mores!
On the weekends, you can sign the kids up for Camp Hyatt for a full or half day while mom and dad golf, play tennis or enjoy an afternoon at the spa and fitness center.
