Dr. Hsieh received his degree in medicine from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. His internship and residency were at The John Hopkins Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology and echocardiography at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
