Subject Adjust fan speed

I have a new used home in the mid west and it has a tappan brand name on it. Seems like the fan is running a bit fast. I have a spread temprature of arount 80-85 degrees. I think if I would slow the fan down just a little i could improve the heating of the house. Does anyone know how to get this
resolved?
