Ralph Beltran and the environmental movement have been partners for almost 40 years. Things got underway in the 1960s, when the new concept of environmental awareness got people wondering about their own harmful effect on the Earth. It was soon realized that recycling was one of the best ways to make a positive difference both locally and globally. As all this awakening was going on, Ralph Beltran was working long hours to launch his fledgling scrap metal recycling business. Oxnard Metal opened in 1967 and the company quickly became an important part of the areas recycling infrastructure. As the company grew, Ralph was able to add the energy and industriousness of many of his family members as well as expanding the types of materials accepted and services offered. Thirty five Earth Days have been celebrated since Oxnard Metal first opened its doors. We continue our dedication a sustainable future and are continually seeking new ways to make your recycling experience quicker, easier and more profitable. |
