2009 Leagues
Monday Night Mens League
This four-man team league plays nine holes each week, beginning at 5:15. Format is combined net score of the foursome. Play begins in May. Call Dan Scarborough to join: 717-993-6846
Monday Morning Senior Mens League
Play 18 holes, May through October. Meet at 8:30 for complimentary coffee and donuts before the 9:00 shotgun start. Cost is $35.00 to join and 23.00 each week for golf and cart. Prizes included. Must be at least 55 years old to join. Call 717-993-2184 by May 1st to join; space is limited. League play begins May 4.
Tuesday Night Two-Man Team League
Better ball between partners, with league handicaps (established after first week of play). Play begins at 5:30. Awards at conclusion of play. Call 717-993-2184 to sign-up. League play begins April 21. The Cost is $25 to join, then $19 each week for your golf and cart.
Wednesday Night Mens League
This four-man team (5-man, including a sub), league plays nine holes each week, beginning at 5:30. Play begins in May. Contact Dick Wilson at 717-487-5916 to join.
Thursday Night Ladies League
Enjoy playing nine holes in the evening with friends. This league is for players of all skill levels. A complete schedule of events, including invitationals. Play begins at 5:30. Call 717-993-2184 for information and to join. Play begins in April.
Friday Night "Nine-n-Dine" Couples League
For couples of all skill levels. Strictly a fun, easygoin' kind of league. Handicaps not needed. Play is Captain's Choice for 9 holes. 5:30 shotgun start. Come on out and meet other golfing couples. Cost is $20.00 per person to join; $15.00 each week (including cart). Play begins May 15 and runs for 12 weeks. Call 717-993-2184 to register.
Junior Gof Clinic and League
For kids ages 7-17 who have an interest in learning to play the game of golf. Techniques, fundamentals, the Rules and etiquette will be covered through group lessons and individual mini playing lessons. We meet Thursdays beginning July 9 for 6 weeks. There will be a clinic prior to play each week. Participants may play nine or eighteen holes. Cost: $120 for 18 holers; $90 for nine-holers; $40 for Pleasant Valley Golf Club members. Couples Play
(emphasis on Fun, not so much on competition)
Enjoy a relaxing day playing golf with friends. This is a selected-drive, alternate shot event. Handicaps are not needed. Scoring by the Peoria System. Great for golfers of all skill levels. Sign up with one or two other couples. Prizes and Buffet Dinner following play. Cost is $95 per couple and includes golf, cart, entry fee, prizes and dinner.

Match Play Championship - Sat, Sun, Mon May 23-25
This 3-day, net match play event is open to anyone with a current USGA handicap. Double elimination guarantees you will play at least two of the three days. Stableford Event - Saturday, June 20
Open to anyone with a current USGA handicap. Play will be from the white tees. Earn points for scoring a par, birdie, bogey, etc. Player with the most ponts wins! Points based on net scores. Entry fee: $20. Awards will be in the form of golf shop merchandise credit. Call 717-993-2184 to enter.
Two Man Team Event - Saturday, July 25
Open to anyone with a current USGA handica. Play will be from the white tees. Play holes 1-6 selected drive, alternate shot. Play holes 7-12 better ball of partners. Play holes 13-18 combined total score of partners. Entry fee: $40 per team. Awards will be in the form of golf shop merchandise credit. Call 717-993-2184 to enter.
Glow Ball Event - Friday, August 14
For anyone who just wants to have fun! Play 9 holes (shortened course) by moonlight with glow sticks, glow balls and glow necklaces. "Happy Hour" before hand and dessert following play. Call 717-993-214 for details and to enter. (must pre-register for this one!)
Parent-Child - Saturday, August 15
For parents and kids of all ages, this event coinsides with the final week of the Junior Clinic. Selected drive, alternate shot. Handicaps not required. Play nine or eighteen holes. Gross and net prizes will be awarded. Minimal entry fee. Call 717-993-2184 to enter.
Club Championship - Sat, Sun, Mon September 5, 6, 7
Always the highlight of the season, this is a three-day, individual stroke play event contested in flights of players with similar handicaps. Open to men and women who are regular Pleasant Valley Golf Club players and who have a current USGA handicap. Play will be from the white and blue tees. Net and gross divisions. Trophies and golf shop merchandise credits will be awarded. Sign up at the Golf Shop counter by September 1st.
