How long will the braces be on?
-
Length of treatment depends on many things. Surprisingly, age does not play a major part in determining treatment time. Rather, it's the complexity of the problem that is probably the greatest factor. Some minor corrections might only take several months to treat and time can be significantly shortened when the patient cooperates and carefully follows instructions. Active treatment can range from one to three years and patients generally remain under supervision for an additional year or so after braces are removed.

What will orthodontic treatment be like?
-
The age of the patient and nature of the malocclusion will determine what type of orthodontic treatment and appliances are needed. Braces can range from relatively simple, removable appliances to more complex, cemented braces with which you might be most familiar. In addition to these braces, sometimes auxiliary appliances like headgear, worn alone or with a removable appliance, are needed to redirect jaw growth. In most cases, after the braces are removed, retainers are worn to keep teeth in their correct position.

How much will the treatment cost?
The cost of treatment can vary depending on the severity of the malocclusion and the length of time required to correct it. After an initial consultation and study of diagnostic records, we will discuss the total cost of the treatment with you. In most cases, the cost we discuss is for total treatment. There are no hidden charges for visits, adjustments, or appliances, except for excessive breakage and total lack of patient cooperation.
Our fees are competitive with those of other orthodontists in our area. For your convenience, we offer a monthly payment plan, which allows you to spread the cost over the full treatment period.
