The patented* AdvanTex Treatment System is a significant improvement on a proven method. AdvanTex works just like a recirculating sand filter (RSF), a reliable technology that Orenco has helped to perfect over the past 20 years.

Just like an RSF, your AdvanTex system includes a processing tank and a control panel with a programmable timer for even, steady wastewater treatment, even under peak conditions - such as a party and weekend clothes washing.

The system also includes the AdvanTex textile filter, a sturdy, watertight fiberglass basin filled with an engineered textile material. This lightweight, highly absorbent material treats a tremendous amount of wastewater in a small space.

Hundreds of Orenco's textile filters have been installed throughout the United States onsites ranging from federal demonstration projects to university testing facilities, single-family homes, commercial properties, and community systems. Third-party testing shows that AdvanTex Treatment Systems do a better job of treating wastewater than most municipal sewers.

"The effluent from the filter units typically was clear with no odor...the increased loading rate allows for a decrease in the footprint required by filter units (compared to sand and gravel filters)...in an on-site treatment scenario, textile filter effluent could be utilized for landscape irrigation..."
-Leverenz, Darby, and Tchobanoglous, "Evaluation of Textile Filters for the Treatment of Septic Tank Effluent," University of California at Davis, October 2000.

The Glendon® BioFilter is the most effective on-site system available on the market today. Its patented process transforms household sewage into clear, useful water which may be safely percolated into the soil or recycled in accordance with local regulations. BioFilter effluent has been laboratory tested under a variety of operating conditions and meets the specifications for Washington State Treatment Standard Number One, without disinfection. The BioFilter uses no chemicals or disinfectants, ozone, or ultraviolet processes. All of these processes or techniques are recognized as being expensive or maintenance intensive, and some can be harmful to the environment. The Model M3 BioFilter has been approved as a property alternative system by the Washington State Department of Health (WSDOH). The next generation BioFilter, the M31 has also been approved by WSDOH.

Performace
The BioFilter has the capability to produce effluent with very low levels of sewage characteristics of fecal caliform (FC), biological oxygen demand (BOD), or total suspended solids (TSS).
